" Is it safe to exercise during pregnancy?

Many people say I shouldn't ! "

Contrary to popular belief, it is perfectly safe to continue, or even begin an exercise routine during pregnancy
(subject to doctor's approval), under the supervision of an exercise teacher qualified in pre/post-natal fitness.

If a mother-to-be is not already active, there are advantages to taking up exercise during pregnancy.
In general. exercise promotes a feeling of well-being, improving muscle tone and posture,
preparing mother-to-be for the physical stress of labour.

Tai Chi and Qigong can be ideal form of exercise, due to the lack of physical stress
on tendons and joints, which become less stable due to the hormone relaxin. 
However, some particular exercises are not recommended. (These will be explained)

Providing no complications arise, a mother-to-be may continue an adapted exercise programme
throughout the full term of pregnancy.
